We shuffle the tiles together.
There are no automatic shufflers at our Okey tables. Turning over the tiles, mixing them with both hands and preparing the stacks is how a round begins for us. Everyone lends a hand, the conversation carries on and the next game takes shape.
It only takes a moment, but it brings the group together before the first player sets out their tiles. That small start is not something we want to hand over to a machine.

Our favourite tables for a game
Light tabletops, rose-gold details and comfortable chairs beside the three illuminated arches: we think it’s a beautiful setting for Okey. Meet your friends here for a game and order something from the kitchen when you’re hungry. We provide the tiles and racks.
Fair play for everyone: Okey tables are booked in 2.5-hour slots. If no one has booked the table afterwards, you’re welcome to keep playing.
New to Okey?
Classic Okey is usually played by four people. You collect runs of consecutive numbers in one colour or sets of the same number in different colours. After the opening discard, each turn involves drawing a tile and discarding one. The face-up indicator determines which numbered tile is wild. This introduction describes classic Okey; other versions have their own rules.
